"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." — E.B. White

My Hometown

I've long wanted to peek behind the garden gates and doors,

and lace curtained windows of the gorgeous homes in my town.
The architecture is awesome and intriguing
Just driving the back alleys is delightful...

The old spring houses and stables
and even a long abandoned shoe repair shop!

complete with old signs and shoe forms still in the window.
I finally got my chance...
The town museum hosted a home n garden tour a few weeks back.
It was gorgeous and so inspiring. I especially treasured the little details.

Wish you were here to poke around with me!

That was a lovely trip 'round town!
Loved the shoe repair shop---and that door with the hand trowel on the front...and the hats in the tree.

thanks for showing your town!

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment! I was also not sure about the white tile, but I loved the shape of it so much that I decided to go with it. Now I love it!
Love your blog - your house is incredible! I want a fireplace and stone walls in my kitchen, too! I am signing up to follow!
