"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." — E.B. White

Two thumbs (way) up!

A quick review and hard sell.
Tonight our school hosted the movie "Gifted Hands, the Ben Carson Story."
We watched it with our kids in our laps and cried.
Tears of sadness knowing this is the great surgeon who tried to save our beloved MacKenzie. Her birthday was two days ago...
But also tears of joy!
If you haven't seen it yet I strongly encourage you to do so. Makes you want to be a strong mom, throw out your tv and send your kids to the library. Makes your kids want to read  *and*  pray!
Please check it out on Amazon - read the reviews!

I will do just that....the family has been in my prayers often...so, so sorry! Wow, you have personally seen his gift. I will share this this week with my sons.

Hugs to you all...and continued prayers as you all walk through this season of grief...and yes, changed for life.

I'll definitely be checking that out.

re your comment - I have an older model Olympus Evolt - I think it's the E400. I bought it on ebay used from a professional. So I got a decent deal on it and it came with two lenses. When I was bidding the big thing I looked at was return policy and their seller rating. I love it. Haven't picked up our point and shoot since buying this one.

And thank you for your sweet comment. I love visiting your sight. I get to vicariously experience country life through your home.

Hi Leslie. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! This was my first Homestead Barn Hop, and was was rather coincidental that I ran across it today with a good homestead oriented Monday post! I'm delighted with your blog as well, your newest follower in fact.

I have to mention that we saw this movie and loved it too.
