"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." — E.B. White

(Ambling down) The Avenue

I took this as I visited my friend's farm.
It reminded me of Claude Monet's painting "The Avenue" done in 1878

It's always been difficult for me to truly enjoy fall's splendor as I'm too focused on the killing frosts n long dark days ahead.
(Can you tell I'm a summer girl?!)

Autumn days come quickly, like the running of a hound on the moor. - Irish proverb

Thank the Lord for fox chasing and ambling down lanes with friends!

I'm off for a ride in this glowing sun...
Happy first day of fall y'all!

That first picture is my dream driveway. Not really very practical for me but lovely to dream about. I adore fall but understand not everyone does. I'll trade you my summer for your fall?

I knew I was leading a blessed life when I got off the school bus to a scene similar to that first picture, and our golden retriever came bounding down the driveway to greet me. Seizing the little moments is so much more rewarding than spending all your time looking for the big ones.

Love this!! My favorite pic has to be the fox, hounds and horses. Awesomeness! I always say Fall is my favorite, but I'm a little flaky on that. I say that about (almost) all the seasons ;) -Tammy
